Best Theme Parks (2022) - Disney did not make the cut

The US is home to more than 5,800 Amusement and Theme Parks with approx 400 of these Amusement Parks and attractions being vacation destinations. For those looking to plan the perfect vacation, trying to pick which park to visit can be overwhelming.

To help you decide, a panel of experts partnered with 10Best Editors to pick the initial nominees, and then the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote. The article does not explain what criteria was used to develop the list of 20 nominees (like cost VS value or ide wait times), just that the top 10 list was narrowed by popular vote of the public.

The top 10 winners in the category Best Theme Park are as follows:
  1. SeaWorld Orlando - Orlando, Florida
  2. Silver Dollar City - Branson, Missouri
  3. Kings Island - Mason, Ohio
  4. Busch Gardens Williamsburg - Williamsburg, Virginia
  5. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay - Tampa, Florida
  6. Cedar Point - Sandusky, Ohio
  7. Dollywood - Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
  8. Six Flags Magic Mountain - Valencia, California
  9. Holiday World & Splashin' Safari - Santa Claus, Indiana
  10. Hersheypark - Hershey, Pennsylvania
Disneyland Tea Cups

Not a single Disney Park (Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom) made the list for 2022; nor did Disney’s largest Theme Park competitor, Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.

Leave a comment, what are your favorite Them Parks and why?
