Meow Wolf to Open Hotel and Art Venue in Phoenix

Meow Wolf, an art collective in Santa Fe, New Mexico has announced plans to open an enchanting 400 room hotel with immersive entertainment and art venue in the Roosevelt Row arts district near 3rd ST and Garfield in downtown Phoenix, AZ.

The Meow Wolf art-hotel concept will be a first for the company. The 20+ stories “Dream Machine Hotel” will have approx 400 rooms designed by local artists and offer overnight experiences to include: capsule rooms, communal hostel environments, and absurd luxury suites.

The plans also include a 10,000 sq. ft music and performance venue and 75,000 sq. ft art exhibit.

The release did not specify when the project would open or begin construction, just that it was a "multi-year project."

Later this year, Meow Wolf is also opening "Area 15", an art installation in Las Vegas, NV.

Meow Wolf was formed by a collection of artists in 2008 in Santa Fe, NM. The Santa Fe location is home to the "House of Eternal Return" (seen below), where visitors choose their own path through the 20,000 sq. ft exhibit by walking, climbing, and crawling through an imaginative and immersive environment. The website says the experience is appropriate for people of all ages.
